Sri Lankan fishing boat in distress taken to Hulhumale'
The Sri Lankan fishing vessel was sinking due to engine failure
MNDF's Coast Guard Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) received the report of a sinking boat 199 nautical miles outside Male' City on January 23rd at 17:00.
The boat was taken to Hulhumale' around 6:10 am on Tuesday morning.

The Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has brought the Sri Lankan fishing vessel sinking due to engine failure to Hulhumale'.

According to the authorities, MNDF's Coast Guard Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) received the report of a sinking boat 199 nautical miles outside Male' City on January 23rd at 17:00.

Revealing that the incident was closely monitored by the MRCC ever since, MNDF stated that there were a total of six passengers on board and that they are all in good condition.

The boat was taken to Hulhumale' around 6:10 am on Tuesday morning.
