Concluding his official visit to the State of Kuwait, Vice President Faisal Naseem has returned to Maldives.
While the Vice President travelled to the middle-eastern country on Friday, his four-day trip saw several meetings and visits to Kuwaiti education faculties.
As such, on Sunday, Naseem toured the facilities of Ajial Bilingual School and the American German School, two of the most prestigious schools managed by Al-Jeri Holding Group. Further, Naseem met with Chairman and CEO of Al Jeri Holding Group, Talal Khalifa Al Jeri to discuss further cooperation mainly focused on improving the quality of Maldives education sector.
Also on Sunday, the Vice President held meetings with several officials of top Kuwaiti associations and committees where discussions touched down on conducting teacher training programmes, assistance in seeking out teachers for Quran and the Arabic language and collaboration in the sustenance of religious unity in Maldives.
The following day, Naseem visited two other schools operated by Al Jeri, the Cambridge English School and Mangaf and Om Al-Qura School.
A visit was also made to the Om Al-Qura Center for Rehabilitation.
He was accompanied by Minister for Islamic Affairs Dr Ahmed Zahir and the Special Advisor on Social Policy at the President’s Office, Dr. Musthafa Luthufee.
The Maldives established diplomatic relations with the State of Kuwait during December 1977.
