India's External Affairs Minister arrives in Maldives on official visit

Officials of the foreign ministry greet M.J. Akbar at the Velana International Airport
Mobashar Jawed ‘M.J.’ Akbar, India’s Minister of State for External Affairs, has on Tuesday arrived in the Maldives on Tuesday, on an official visit.
The Foreign Ministry’s Secretary, Ali Naseer Mohamed had received him at the Velaana International Airport.
State Minister, who has an illustrious background in journalism, will call on President Abdulla Yameen and Foreign Minister Mohamed Asim.
Akbar was accompanied by Joint Secretary Sanjay Panda, and DS, A. Amarnath.
