Chief Magistrate of Dhaalu atoll, Abdul Razzaq Mohamed has been temporarily suspended regarding a forgery case.

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) revealed this via a statement on Tuesday, which reads that the Maldives Police Service (MPS) is looking into the case.

The magistrate is to accused of having forged a signature on an agreement submitted to the Kudahuvadhoo Magistrate Court, regarding an ongoing case.

While police had informed the commission of the misconduct and ordered it to launch an investigation into a disciplinary issue against Magistrate Mohamed, who has been temporarily suspended under article 25 of the JSC Act.
