Himmafushi councillors share concerns with the president
the Councillors shared concerns regarding delays in the sewerage network project and the state of the island’s freshwater lens

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has held a meeting with the Councillors of Himmafushi Island Council at the President’s Office on Thursday afternoon.
During the meeting, the Councillors shared the concerns of their constituents regarding the delays in the sewerage network project, the state of the island’s freshwater lens, and waste management issues.
Moreover, the Councillors called attention to space constraints in the school, the need for improved healthcare, renovation of the harbor and the need for increased economic activities on the island.
President Solih responded by sharing the latest updates of the developmental plans for the island while giving assurance to the councilors that his administration will collaborate with the relevant ministries to address the concerns brought forward by the Councillors.
