Six more days added to government holidays for 2020

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has made additions to the government holidays for the upcoming year.

The days that have been declared as government holidays are;

· 2 January, a Thursday,

· 27 May, a Wednesday,

· 28 May, a Thursday,

· 28 July, a Tuesday,

· 29 July, a Wednesday and

· 12 November, a Thursday.

With the addition of 2 January as a public holiday, civil service employees get four consecutive off days for the New Year. Moreover, with the addition of 28 and 29 July, employees will get a six-day leave for Independence Day.

27 and 28 May adds to the Eid-Al-Fitr public holiday.

Finally, with the declaration of 12 November as a public holiday, government employees get four days as Republic Day holiday.
