The police are currently investigating an incident where an employee of the GA atoll Villingili branch of Fenaka Corporation was seriously injured after suffering electric shocks.

According to the Maldives Police Service (MPS), the Fenaka employee was taken to the atoll hospital on Sunday evening at 05:15 pm.

Villingili Island Council President Mustafa Mohamed told RaajjeMV that the 30-year-old man who suffered electric shocks is currently in stable condition and was brought to Male' for further treatment early Monday morning. He explained that the man suffered electric shocks while digging a pond.

The authorities state that they are currently conducting investigations on the root cause behind the electric shock.
