President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has extended his sympathies to the King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the death of his brother, Prince Mitteb Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
According to reports citing the Kingdom’s Royal Court, Prince Mitteb passed away on Monday.
The President offered the royal family his condolences on behalf of the Maldivian government and people, especially noting the King and the son of the deceased, Prince Mansour bin Mitteb Bin Abdul Aziz.
He concluded with a prayer for Prince Mitteb.
The Royal Court has announced that the Prince's funeral will be held on Tuesday at the Grand Mosque in Makkah after Isha (night) prayer.
Born in 1931, Prince Mutaib was a senior member of the Saud Arabian royal family.
He also held a number of administrative positions within the Kingdom, most notably as the Governor of Makkah Province from 1958 to 1961.
