Maldives Ambassador presents credentials to the King of Netherlands
 
The King reiterated his commitment to strengthen the relations between both countries during the ambassador’s term
 
Minister Shahid expressed keenness to closer relations with Netherlands, who is a close development partner

Newly appointed Non-Resident Ambassador of Maldives to Netherlands, Hassan Sobir has presented his credentials to the King Willem-Alexander, on Thursday.

Following a ceremony held at the Noordeinde Palace, the King and Ambassador Sobir held discussions on ways to heighten the ties between both countries. As such, the King reiterated his commitment to strengthen the relations between both countries during the ambassador’s term.

Further, the King expressed confidence that the ties will reach new heights during Sobir’s tenure as Maldives Ambassador to Netherlands.

Following the presentation of Ambassador Sobir’s letter of credence, Maldives Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid had congratulated him and expressed keenness to closer relations with Netherlands, who is a close development partner.

During the meeting with King Willem-Alexander, Ambassador Sobir extended warm greetings and well wishes from the people and President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, assuring his commitment to work diligently to espand the existing friendly ties Maldives and Netherlands have enjoyed for a long time.

The meeting was joined by Counsellor at the Embassy of Maldives in Belgium, Samahath Zuhuree.
