VP urges more Maldivians to seek employment in health sector
Workers were also urged to become actively involved in the workforce for the “collective betterment” of the country

Vice President Faisal Naseem has urged the Maldivian youth community to seek out employment in the health industry.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony held for the clinical posting of Maldives National University (MNU)’s School of Medicine students at Dharumavantha Hospital on Wednesday, VP Naseem stressed that a majority of posts in the country’s health industry is occupied by foreign professionals.

Shedding light that Maldivians working in the industry are much lower compared to foreign workers, he called on the youth community to seek employment in the field.

Further, the Vice President highlighted the significance of collaborative efforts from every single individual, towards the progress of the nation, as it is every citizen’s responsibility in playing a role for the country’s development.

VP Naseem went on to push the medical students to always maintain a caring and helpful attitude while upholding their duty and responsibilities to their patients.

Workers were also urged to become actively involved in the workforce for the “collective betterment” of the country.

The ceremony also saw the awarding of certificates to the medical students who were clinically posted, by VP Naseem.
