Three individuals have been arrested over threatening a police officer in Fuvahmulah City.
Reports of death threats targeted at a police officer in Fuvahmulah were received by Maldives Police Service (MPS) on Tuesday following which the three Maldivians were arrested under a court order.
Arrested were a 19-year-old, a 25-year-old and a 31-year-old, all men.
Further, MPS has launched further investigations into the case.
Police also arrested a 19-year-old man on Saturday under allegations of encouraging and provoking violence among the society as well as openly targeting death threats at individuals.
