Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has announced that a bus card will be required to travel on the buses starting from next month onwards.
In a statement released by MPL on Saturday, MPL said that this will be implemented from November 1.
It added that tickets will no longer be sold for the bus services provided by the Greater Male' Transport Link and that a bus card will be required to board the bus instead.
A ticket for bus services between Male'-Hulhumale' and Male'-Hulhule are sold for MVR10 each. In addition to the greater male bus services, the government is planning to introduce mini-bus services in Male'.
