Maldives Police Service (MPS) arrested an individual under allegations of abusing his position for financial gain.
MPS arrest a 31-year-old man under a court order following the reported allegations against him.
He was brought under police custody on 21 September.
The case is being investigated as a criminal offense by the MPS Professional Standards Command.
