Maldives Medical and Health Expo 2019 begins with a total of 18 organizations participating.
The expo, commenced on Friday, at Dharubaaruge.
An initiative of MV Medicals, the expo focuses on keeping the public well-informed on challenges and achievements in the healthcare sector of the country, through engagement.
It is set to proceed till 20 October, from 4pm to 11pm every day and will bring several medical experts together on one platform, to closely associate with the people.
The expo was inaugurated by State Minister at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Shah Abdulla Mahir and aims to keep the public well-informed about the healthcare sector, ease the process of accessing medical facilities across the country as well as creating awareness and educating the people on best practices in the sector, alongside the latest healthcare services to be offered.
While the expo revolves around spreading awareness on business-oriented medical services, Director of Marketing and Public Relations of MV Medicals, Abdul Jaleel Hussain revealed that such expos provide a platform for industry experts to positively engage with the people in order to educate them on services being provided in the Maldives as well as foreign countries, plans to further develop the sector as well as the sector’s progress.
Some of the participants include Society for Health Education, Health Protection Agency, Maldives Food and Drug Authority, Dhamanaveshi, Indigo, Samad Fertility and Maternity Hospital, Fit Zone, Physical Fitness Center as well as Villa College.
Participants stressed on the importance of the expo to efficiently inform the public about the services made available through their organizations.
Platinum Partners of the expo are ADK Hospital and Tree Top Hospital, as well as Sri Lanka’s Lanka Hospital, Bangkok Hospital and India’s Asiri Health with whom agreements were signed on Thursday.
While this is the third expo being held in Maldives, Director Jaleel expressed hope to host the expo annually in the coming years.
