India’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Staff Committee (COSC)’s chairman, General Bipin Rawat headlined a panel discussion on “Maldives and Indian Security Perspectives”, during his ongoing diplomatic trip to the Maldives.
The panel discussion, held on Tuesday morning at Bandaarakoshi, addressed concerns about strategic and defensive initiatives regarding national security, the domestic and international solutions to these issues, as well as the importance of building relationships with friendly neighboring countries and improving military competence.
In addition to General Rawat, the panel discussion was also attended by Chief of Defense Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal, Indian ambassador to Maldives, Sanjay Sudhir, along with defense advisors and senior military officials from both countries.
