Indian military gifts vehicles to MNDF

Senior military officials attending special ceremony
India’s Chief of Army Staff, General Bipin Rawat gifted vehicles to Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), on Tuesday.
The Indian official arrived in the Maldives on Sunday, on a six-day official visit.
General Rawat presented the vehicles -three cars, a pickup and spares- to Chief of Defence Force, Abdulla Shamaal, at an event held at Bandaarakoshi on Tuesday.
Speaking at the ceremony, MNDF’s Service Corps Commander, Brigadier General Hamid Shafeeq thanked the Indian military for their support, and highlighted their help in improving the capabilities of the Maldivian military and developing MNDF's human resources.
The event was also attended by Indian ambassador to Maldives, Sanjay Sudhir, as well as defense advisors and senior military officials from both countries, respectively.
