Jinah's nomination got parliament approval in February 2019

Mohamed Jinah has been appointed as Maldives Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih presented Ambassador Jinah his letter of appointment at a ceremony held at the President’s Office on Thursday afternoon.

The newly appointed ambassador previously held the position of Group General Manager of Green Paradise Private Limited. He also served as a draftsman trainee at the Public Works Services.

He has extensive experience in managing a diverse array of organizations and private businesses, revealed the President’s Office.

Jinah's nomination got parliament approval in February 2019, where 36 lawmakers present at the sitting unanimously voted in favor.

The post of Maldives Ambassador to Thailand was previously held by Mohamed ‘Colonel’ Nasheed, a former parliamentarian, during former President Abdulla Yameen’s tenure.
