Ali Amjad has been elected President of GDh Thinadhoo Council.
Amjad was elected by members of the Thinadhoo Council on Sunday.
Amjad was elected after the dismissal of previous Thinadhoo Council President Ibrahim Assad. He was dismissed on August 28 after a no-confidence vote resulted in four of the Thinadhoo council members voting against him.
The Thinadhoo Council has said that the no-confidence vote was taken over Assad making decisions without the involvement of other council members.
