Several bottles of alcohol confiscated during various operations, have been destroyed in Thinadhoo island, Gaaf Dhaal atoll.

The alcohol bottles were destroyed inside the police station’s courtyard on Tuesday, revealed police.

Totaling 44 bottles, said alcohol was confiscated through several operations conducted between the months of April and June this year. All the bottles were seized through tourists visiting Maldives.

Further, police revealed that the bottles were destroyed under the supervision of the relevant police committee and under the set legal procedure for it.
