Some roads in male to be closed for Sri Lankan PM’s arrival
For security reasons, the green zone and surrounding area and roads near the parliament will be closed for the Sri Lankan Prime Minister’s arrival

Some roads in Male’ City will be closed for the arrival of Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

For security reasons, the green zone and surrounding area and roads near the parliament will be closed for the Sri Lankan Prime Minister’s arrival.

The Prime Minister is set to visit Maldives to give an address at the Maldives parliament on Tuesday, 9:30am.

The police service stated that some roads will be closed on Monday from 8am to 2pm and on Tuesday from 8am until the end of the Prime Minister’s parliamentary address.

Prime Minister Wickremasinghe’s scheduled visit to Maldives is on the invitation of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. He will be arriving with his wife and a high-level Sri Lankan delegation and will be chairing the Indian Ocean Conference to be held at Paradise Island Resort.

Two foreign dignitaries have given an address in the 19th parliament. They are Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Federica Mogherini, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the EU Commission.
