The President congratulated Red Crescent for 10 years of humanitarian service in a tweet on Friday.

Thanking the volunteers for their service, President Solih said that the NGO’s work to build resilient communities across Maldives has been exemplary.

Speaking on RaajjeTV on their anniversary, Red Crescent Secretary General Aishath Noora Mohamed said they have been able to expand their work across the country because of the help of volunteers in the past 10 years.

She said that they prioritize working within the set framework when joining their efforts with the world’s Red Crescent organizations and that their biggest accomplishment is establishing emergency responders in all parts of the country.
