The two men who went missing at sea on a canoe near Villimale’ have been found.
The men were reported missing on Sunday night and were found in Hulhumale’ early Monday morning.
Police stated that the tides had taken the canoe to the Hulhumale’ swimming track and that afterwards the men had swim to shore.
The police service and the Coast Guard began search operations on Sunday at around 8:54 pm after receiving the missing person’s report for the men, aged 20 and 33 years old.
Incidents at sea have increased due to the worsening weather, and authorities have advised travelers to be cautious.
