The Bodybuilding Association of Maldives election has ended with no issues.
The President, Vice President, and executive members of the bodybuilding association were elected on Friday.
Ibrahim Hameed was elected President with 39 votes, which is 95%. Hameed has previously held the position of association president as well as vice president and general secretary.
Ali Rifau, who was previously an executive member, was elected Vice President with 37 votes or 90%.
Mohamed Ibrahim, Mohamed Nazeeh, and Hassan Nisham were elected executive members while Mohamed Husam lost.
Mohamed Ibrahim was a bodybuilding coach and Mohamed Nizah has been a bodybuilding judge since 1999 and is also the chairman of the bodybuilding association’s judging committee. Hassan Nisham is the vice chairman of the judging committee.
41 of the 58 eligible voters had participated in the election.
