Ghiyasuddin International School held a parade in Hulhumale’ on Sunday afternoon to celebrate Maldives’ Independence Day.
Deputy Principal Shirumeena Faheem said the parade was held for the enjoyment of Hulhumale’ residents.
She said that they do not get the chance to hold band activities with other schools since Ghiyasuddin is an international school with no cadet corps.
Ghiyassudin had recently held a parade with floats in Male’ to celebrate the school’s 10th anniversary.
Deputy Principal Shirumeena said they held their second parade in Hulhumale’ because their first parade had been held in the capital city.
