Maldives Hajj mission office opened in Mecca
Saudi Arabia has permitted a quota of 2,000 pilgrims from Maldives

The Maldives Hajj mission office has officially begun its services in Mecca.

Speaking to RaajjeMV, Islamic Ministry’s State Minister Shafiu Ali said the purpose of the office is to assist Maldivian pilgrims and monitor the work of pilgrimage travel agencies.

Saudi Arabia has permitted a quota of 2,000 pilgrims from Maldives.

The Maldivian pilgrims have begun leaving for the Hajj pilgrimage to begin on August 10.

The first group to leave were pilgrims travelling with Zaee Group on Sunday. Vice President Faisal Naseem were present at the airport to bid farewell to the 84 pilgrims.

The agencies permitted to handle the pilgrimage trips are Maldives Hajj Corporation, Zaee Group, Tazkiya, Al Hajj & Umrah Group, Mina Hajj & Umrah, and Acro Hajj and Umrah.
