EC to help elect lawyers’ representative to JSC
EC will be providing its technical, logistical, and administrative support for the election

Elections Commission (EC) has stated that it will help the Bar Council elect the lawyers’ representative to Judicial Service Commission (JSC).
EC confirmed this in a tweet on Saturday morning.
Bar Council President Maumoon Hameed said that they have reached an understanding with the EC for the election of the lawyers’ representative to the JSC to be conducted with their technical, logistical, and administrative support.
Bar Council’s executive committee has scheduled the election for July 27 and those interested can apply for candidacy before July 23, 5pm, at the old Jamaluddin School building. Applications will be accepted between 9am and 5pm.
