Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has given its Long Service Award to 12 employees.
The awards were given to the employees by former President Muamoon Abdul Gayoom, the first MMA governor, at MMA’s 38th anniversary event at Dharubaaruge on Sunday night.
11 employees received the award for serving at MMA for over 30 years and one employee received the award for serving for over 20 years.
The awards were given to: Nareema Ali (for 38 years of service), Ahmed Anwar (37), Fathimath Waheed (36), Zulfa Abdul Rahman (35), Mohamed Ibrahim (33), Shafeeqa Hussain (33), Hawwa Naseer (31), Aishath Zahira (30), Aminath Rasheeda (30), Mariyam Hussain Didi (30), and Fathimath Ibrahim (20).
Speaking at the event, Maumoon said it was a great honour to bestow the awards to the employees and noted that MMA has continued providing excellent services despite the changes to government.
