Meedhoo councilors share residents' urgent needs with VP

Councilors of Meedhoo island in Dhaalu atoll have shared urgent needs and concerns raised by their constituents with Vice President Faisal Naseem.

This was done during a meeting held at the President’s Office on Monday morning.

Members of the island council further discussed some of the priorities of the island residents alongside various development visions the councilors have for their community.

Shedding light on the most urgent requirements the constituents have at the moment, councilors shared with the VP, the need to develop the island’s health structure as well as to bring infrastructural developments to the island school.

Further, councilors requested the government to initiate a land reclamation project in the island for the residents' housing needs.

Having listened to their concerns, VP Naseem assured the council members that the government will take necessary action after holding thorough discussions with relevant ministries in order to address the issues at hand.
