An employee at the Family Court has been dismissed after filing a case against Judge Huzaifa Mohamed at the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

The employee, Ali Saeed, told RaajjeMV that the court administrator dismissed him on Wednesday at 3:15pm without giving a reason.

He said he was not given the dismissal notice and so is concerned that an online activist has shared such the document online.

In the tweet, Thayyib Shaheem states that the employee was dismissed for sexual harassment.

Saeed said he has been working at Family Court for six years without facing any disciplinary issues and that he was shocked to have been dismissed. He said that he was dismissed for voicing concern over the issues inside the court that surfaced after the dismissal of the marriage registrar Ahmed Abdulla.

He claimed that the Family Court’s administrative, budget, and HR sections have been involved in illegal activity and that some of them have erased the employee warning records given to the administrator, adding that a police case has also been filed over the harassment of an employee at the budget section.

Saeed’s case at the JSC states that Family Court Judge Huzaifa has been defaming and attempting to frame him.
