The incident was reported on Tuesday afternoon
A 22-year-old man was found unconscious in capital Malé City, on Tuesday.
He was found inside a room in a guest house in the Maafannu ward of the city, with foam coming out of his mouth.
Police’s media officer said that it received a report of the case at around 12:18pm on Tuesday, and that officers were dispatched to the scene immediately.
The incident is to have taken place at Dream Relax Guesthouse, on Orchid Magu.
He was taken to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment.
Police have launched a probe into the case.
