Results will be seen from the Maldives Partnership Forum, states Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid.
The Forum is to be held on Monday and Tuesday at Kurumba Resort.
Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, Minister Shahid said that the main purpose of the forum is to provide information on the government’s development goals and establish partnerships with participants.
The Minister said he anticipates Maldives will receive the partnership of institutions willing to help develop the country.
Participants of this year’s Partnership Forum include officials from 35 countries and 27 organizations. Minister Shahid said this year’s forum will see the highest number of participants.
Finance Minister and the forum’s co-chair Ibrahim Ameer said that, this year, the government’s proposals are based on research and the financial requirements of the most important development goals, and that investors will be able to get more information on the official websitempf.gov.mv.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will be inaugurating the forum, which is set be the largest multilateral gathering of international development partners in the Maldives.
