Mayor vows to remove pipes from Male’ City streets

Male’ City Mayor has vowed to remove the pipes in the streets of the capital city.
She said this while responding to a tweet regarding the pipes on the sidewalks which are a nuisance to pedestrians, especially people with special needs.
The Mayor said that she will solve the issue of pipes, which are used to drain water from construction sites, as soon as they begin developing the roads.
Mayor Shifa earlier saidthat Male’ City roads are still underdeveloped and that the council is in discussions with the planning ministry on a development plan, which includes solving the concerning number of pipes on the roads.
