Ministry of Higher Education will host two more information sessions regarding its June 2019 loan scheme.
The first session was held on Thursday, while the second one is scheduled for 8:30pm on Sunday. A third session will be held at the same time on Wednesday.
The information sessions are being held at the Center for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE).
The higher education ministry has been subjected to a barrage of criticism after it revealed that 79 students, out of the 993 applicants, were selected for it March 2019 loan scheme. A number of the applicants were disqualified due to various issues, including not printing both sides of certificates and courses being available locally.
The ministry opened up 163 new slots earlier this week, and over 60 students had submitted their applications on the first day.
While the deadline for application is 24th June, the ministry is to review the forms and give the opportunity to correct the forms that are submitted three days prior to the last day.
