A road accident in Hulhule has left a vehicle heavily dented.

Although no one was reported injured in the accident, the parked taxi involved in the accident had been heavily damaged.

RaajjeMV understands that the taxi was parked in the region where drivers let off customers arriving at Velana International Airport, when an oil bowser belonging to Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) collided into it from behind.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) has since launched an investigation into the accident.

While road accidents have been observed to be on the rise since the beginning of Ramadan in early May, the number of accidents reported this month alone reaches 59.
