Labour Authority of Maldives has introduced a web portal to make it easier to manage the foreign worker registry.

The labour authority stated that the ‘Haraheri Portal’ will make it easy for island and city councils to manage the Maldives’ foreign workers registry.

All councils will receive their login information and will be able to look up data on foreign workers in their region.

Councils are required to delete a foreign worker’s registration from their island or city if the worker is transferred to another region, and the Labour Authority will keep a record of the transfer.

The portal was introduced by Economic Minister Fayyaz Ismail, who said that this portal will make it easy to manage the foreign workers registry with the help of the councils.
