Abdul Raheem Abdulla has been chosen as President of People’s National Congress (PNC).

He was automatically chosen after no other candidate contested for the position in the PNC Congress on Friday.

No vote was taken since only Abdul Raheem had run for the leadership position.

Abdul Raheem had been the acting leader of PNC since its inception.

The PNC Congress is scheduled to elect its vice presidents and council members as well as make changes to its regulations.
