Maldives Police Service (MPS) has begun a program to familiarize police officers and their families to the history of the Maldives police force.
The program which began on 13 March, is an initiative of the Police Heritage Center and revolved around familiarizing and educating officers about the history of police services in the country.
It is being held in commemoration of the MPS 86th Anniversary, celebrated on 29 March.
Officers from all departments will be participating in the program which will educate officers on how their services came into being, the changes that have kept the services evolving throughout the years and the equipment used by the police force throughout history, revealed MPS.
