Will bring MPs who stole from state funds, to justice: President Solih

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said he is determined to find the parliamentarians who stole from the state, and that it is also important to elect MPs who believe they must be brought to justice.

Speaking at the campaign launching ceremony held in Addu City on Friday, the President said that the laws need to be implemented to punish the unlawful parliament members.

President Solih also said that Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s parliamentary candidate Rozaina Adam is one such MP who wants those unlawful members to face justice and urged everyone to vote for her.

In his speech, President Solih also noted that his government places high priority in developing Addu City and said that it is important to value the people who have contribute to the development of the nation.

President Solih also stressed on the various misconducts carried out through the previous government’s housing schemes.

He also assured the citizens that his government will initiate road development projects in Hulhumeedhoo, take measures to prevent soil erosion, promote the guesthouse sector in the island and to develop the harbor area.
