Ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has begun putting up posters and billboards to familiarize their candidates for the upcoming Parliamentary Elections and the bills in their Agenda 19.

The activity began at 8:30 on Saturday morning and it will proceed in 16 regions in capital city Male’.

The activity is led by former President, leader of the party and its candidate for mid-Mahchangoalhi constituency, Mohamed Nasheed.

The former President told RaajjeMV that the party’s Agenda 19 comprises of 19 frameworks which contains other consecutive bills.

One of the most important bills include the one to do with housing in the Maldives, said Nasheed.

“Currently the Maldives has 45,000 residences. About 10-12 people reside in these houses. It is one of our biggest targets to provide housing for the citizens. We will do everything in our power to achieve this,” said Nasheed.

Nasheed further said that the activity will be carried out in the outlying atolls in the near future as well. He also reiterated his wish for the ruling party to win majority in the upcoming Parliamentary Elections scheduled for 6th April.
