Maldives Police Service (MPS) has begun a search for four individuals after being ordered to locate them by the Civil Court on Thursday.

Police are locating Ali Nazeer, 36, native to Alifushi island in Raa atoll, Ismail Samih Ahmed, 38, native to Thimarafushi in Thaa atoll, Ibrahim Rasheed, 54 and native to capital city Male’ and Abdul Nasir Ahmed, 51.

According to the police, the four are being located in connection to pending Civil Court cases regarding debt settlement.

They are to be kept in police custody until they are required to be presented to court for the hearings.

Authorities have urged the public to come forth with any information of the four if attained and contact them through their Custodial Department.
