A recent bust has led to the seizure of a parcel sent from the Netherlands containing 32 grams of cocaine, the Maldives Customs Service (MCS) says.

A statement from the MCS on Thursday morning reports that the parcel was searched on 19th February, and found that the white powder tested positive for cocaine.

The statement also puts the street price of the seized drugs at MVR 96,000, which makes each gram worth MVR 3,000.

Last week, the customs announced it has seized another shipment, also from the Netherlands; three parcels containing tablets of MDMA, ecstasy, and 10 blotters of LSD.
