Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) is helping voters re-register for the parliamentary election.
At a press conference on Wednesday, MDP deputy secretary general Afshan Latheef said a re-registration center has been established at their campaign site and that their team will help with all re-registration procedures.
Afshan clarified that they are helping not just MDP members, but anyone who wishes to change their voting location.
She asks those interested to check the voters list and begin the re-registration as soon as possible, since MDP will stop their re-registration work on March 1.
She also said that MDP chairperson Hassan Latheef, South Galolhu MP Eva Abdulla and North Hithadhoo MP Mohamed Aslam will be joining their “Majlis 19” panel discussion on Thursday night.
Topics such as the minimum wage, income tax, and student loans will be discussed at the panel discussion, she said.
MDP is running for 86 constituencies in April’s parliamentary election.
