Maldives Police Service (MPS) has arrested a Maldivian in possession of alcohol, on Saturday.
Arrested was a 24-year-old in possession of two cans of beer.
Gan police station had conducted the operation upon receiving an intelligence report on the 16th of February.
He was arrested near the Feydhoo harbor area.
He has since been remanded by two days by the Feydhoo Magistrate court.
Officers of Gan police station are further investigating the case.
