The woman who got into an accident while crossing a road in capital city Male’ remains in serious condition, ADK Hospital has revealed.

The woman, 47, is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), said ADK’s Managing Director Ahmed Affaal.

She was hit by a speeding vehicle while crossing the road and attained head injuries due to the collision, last Tuesday.

The accident caused internal bleeding into her brain.

ADK Hospital has refrained from revealing the extent of her injuries.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) is investigating the accident.
