The Bank of Maldives (BML) has on Tuesday opened its first business centre in southernmost Addu city.

Deputy CEO Aishath Noordeen says that BML considers opening a business center in Addu city an accomplishment, given that the region is important to Maldives’ economy.

BML says that the business centre will cater specifically to businesses in Addu city.

BML is to set up similar business centres across the country, as part of its efforts to bolster smaller and medium-sized enterprises. 

BML has also set up a currency exchange desk at the airport in Gan of Addu city.
