Elections Commission (EC) has rejected 10 applications of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s parliamentary candidates.
Speaking to RaajjeMV, EC spokesperson Ahmed Akram said that they rejected their applications for having incomplete information.
Akram requested that the candidates provide all the information and re-submit the applications as soon as possible.
He also said that the EC has notified the ruling party that 76 of the 86 MDP candidacy applications have been accepted.
EC will be accepting candidacy applications for the upcoming parliamentary election until February 21.
