Vice President meets Gadhdhoo council

Vice President Faisal meets the Gahdhoo council
Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with the Gahdhoo island in Gaafu Dhaal atoll council and senior officials of island institutions.
At the meeting on Thursday night, the Vice President inquired on the plans to develop Gahdhoo as well as the needed services and the difficulties faced by island residents.
The council members asked Faisal to speed-up the development of the local airport to make job available for the island’s young people and said that that they have trouble receiving funds for island development.
The person tasked with temporarily managing the local health center disclosed the difficulties faced by the staff and also requested that sea ambulance services be made available for them.
The school principal said the students are being affected by the landfill next to the school.
At the meeting, Vice President Faisal said that he will discuss the requests with the relevant authorities and find solutions.
