Government has declared Thursday, the day President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is scheduled to deliver his presidential address, a public holiday.

President Solih will be delivering his presidential address at the first parliament sitting of 2019 to be held in Dharubaaruge at 10am on Thursday.

The day of the presidential address is declared a public holiday every year.

February 7 also marks seven years since former President Mohamed Nasheed’s government was overthrown.
