A 20-year-old man has been found dead in a reef near B. Embudhoo.

Maldives National Defence Force stated that the body of Yafiu Hassan of B. Thulhadhoo was found during their search following a missing person report.

Yafiu was reported missing at 3:47pm on Wednesday after he failed to return from a dive.

The Coast Guard was involved in the search along with divers from nearby resorts.

MNDF stated that his body was found 30 meters underwater.
