Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has presented its party tickets to candidates and launched its campaign for the parliamentary election on Friday night.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih gave the tickets to the candidates who won MDP’s primary election at the event.
The candidates had also taken their oaths at the event.
The ruling party will be contesting 86 seats in April’s parliamentary election, which are all the constituencies except Faafu Nilandhoo.
Ahmed Shahid has been appointed as the campaign manager.
